Remove a printed date from a receipt photo

The camera or the till printed a date in the corner of a receipt, invoice, or warranty photo. Paint that date. The fill stays on this device.

Use this when the date is a stamp or overlay on your photo and you are allowed to cover it — a duplicate date burned in by the camera, a till clock you do not need in the copy you are filing. Remove a mark does not search the picture for watermarks. You paint the pixels. MI-GAN fills that spot in the tab. It is not a general watermark remover and it will not strip a stock-photo or copyright mark.

A short workflow

  1. If the shot is HEIC, convert with HEIC to JPG first. The paint tool takes a still image the browser can open.
  2. Open Remove a mark. Paint the whole date, including the faint edge. A thin orange clock in the corner is the usual receipt case.
  3. Run the fill. Zoom the patch. If the date crossed a total or a signature, undo and paint a smaller area, or keep the original.
  4. The general camera-date walkthrough is remove a date stamp. This page is only the receipt, invoice, and warranty photo.
  5. Need the cleaned JPEG under a portal cap? Compress to KB after you are happy with the patch. Verify local if you want to watch the network tab.

What this is not

FAQ

Will it find the date by itself?

No. You paint the date. Cover the whole stamp. The model only fills what you painted.

Can I use it on a stock photo watermark?

No. The tool is for a date stamp or a small mark you are allowed to remove on your own photo. Do not use it to strip someone else's copyright notice.

Does the receipt get uploaded?

No. Painting and the fill stay in the tab. The MI-GAN weights download from this site the first time you run. Verify local.
