Remove a date stamp from a photo

Old cameras burn the date into a corner. Paint that patch. A model in the tab fills the painted pixels. You have to mark it yourself, and you should only remove a mark you are allowed to remove.

Remove watermark does not search the photo for text. You paint, including the faint edge, and MI-GAN (MIT, about 28 MB, from this site at /vendor/migan) fills that region. The long side is capped at 1280 px. A date on sky, wall, or floor is the realistic case. A stamp across a face, or fine print you still need to read, comes back wrong.

Do not use it to strip a copyright line, a stock-photo mark, or an AI-generator watermark from a picture you do not have the right to change. The tool will not do that hunt for you anyway.

Steps

  1. Open Remove watermark and choose the photo. It is not uploaded.
  2. Paint the whole date, including the soft shadow around the digits. Leave the rest alone.
  3. Run the fill. The first time, the model downloads; that file is not your photo.
  4. If the patch looks smeared, undo is not magic — crop the stamp off instead, or leave it.

FAQ

Will it find every date by itself?

No. You paint the pixels to replace. Unpainted digits stay.

Can I remove a stock watermark this way?

Do not use this to strip a copyright notice or a stock-photo watermark from a picture you do not have the right to change.

Is the photo uploaded?

No. Painting and the fill stay in the tab. The download is a local PNG blob.
