Verify local (0-byte upload)

Self-prove that your photo bytes stay in the tab. No account required.

DevTools checklist

  1. Open DevTools → Network. Enable “Disable cache”. Optionally filter by Fetch/XHR.
  2. Open a tool: Remove background, HEIC, WebP, AVIF, or Compress.
  3. Before picking a file: Network should show site CSS/JS only. Large ormbg ONNX or libheif WASM should not start until you choose a file.
  4. Choose a distinctive photo from disk, then run the tool.
  5. While it runs: You may see model/WASM/CDN requests (Cloudflare R2 (or Hugging Face fallback) / jsDelivr for ormbg; self-hosted libheif under /assets/libheif/). You should not see a multipart upload of your photo to the LocalPix origin.
  6. Download: the result uses a local blob: URL — it does not POST the output to our servers.
  7. Optional: inspect request payload sizes. Your multi‑MB image should not appear as an upload body to our origin.

Hosting still serves static assets (and model weights from CDN until R2 is enabled) from Cloudflare / Hugging Face. That is site or model delivery, not photo upload.

Scene guides

The same Network check applies when you follow a how-to, and those pages link back here: ID photo background, iPhone HEIC to JPG, email attachment KB caps, PNG for email, WebP and AVIF to JPG, product cutout, when WASM removes a background.
